To commemorate Canada’s 150th Anniversary I chose to paint the very west coast of our great country. ‘Long Beach’ is located in Clayoquot Sound, the ancestral home of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation for over 5000 years. With its soaring ancient cedars, thundering waves and panoramic beaches, Long beach embodies everything Canada means to me – First Nations culture, pristine wilderness, multitudes of animals, birds and sea life.
