The village of Ucluelet on Vancouver Island boasts a beautiful new trail 6.5 km long from the lighthouse northwest along the rugged coastline. This ‘Wild Pacific Trail’ is breathtaking, very well made and beautifully maintained. On one rather windy day, the waves were high and the wind gusting over 50 km/hr was blowing spray off the cresting wave tops.
